Hello, this is Bear fan Ron. Today, I thought I'd throw a change up and write about something from the world of sports. However, this won't be about baseball, no sir. It will be about a rule change that was passed at the NFL Owners meeting this past February and will take effect in 2009 NFL season.
In recent years, it has been the NFL Rules committees mission to protect the defenseless players on the offensive side of the ball, IE: Quarterbacks and wide receivers. They have been doing this by p…

I was all set to write about the Tea Party Tax Protest that will be occurring today, and after a while, I thought, "Will it really matter?"
Right now, we are spending future generations into the poorhouse, and we really don't care as long as we have the cash to keep the cable on, pay for text messages, or purchase $600 shower curtains.
President Obama said something yesterday about us no longer being able to spend, spend, spend in government, but I guess that does not include the healthcare re…

Have you ever seen a 20/20 show or read an article about the American Education system. How Americans don't know crap about where Argentina is, or Australia, or perhaps our kids get confused between Australia and Austria. Then there are the test scores, especially in math and science. It makes Americans look bad.
And how do we respond? Some Americans say really stupid things like, "Well, we may not know where Iraq is, but we sure did blow the country to hell and back." And it makes us look arro…

I don't really know what is going on with the economy. I mean, you can watch
The Real News, and they say one thing.
Anyway,
The Real News has an interesting take on the economy. I think they got it a bit wrong. I mean, sure, there are different reasons for what is happening to our economy, but let's look at the housing market for a moment.
We have banks who are lending money to people, but as soon as the loans are out there, they…

Update on NH Status . . .
The Federal government has gone far enough. We need to draw a line in the sand. If there is further egregious, serious disrespect of the US Constitution by the Federal government, then New Hampshire must reclaim its sovereignty.
HCR6 came out of committee with a surprise "Inexpedient to Legislate" recommendation.
For those that remember it, this is a replay of the resistance against the bills to get NH out of Real-ID. This is unaccep

I have had the discussion about a future ‘rebellion’ many times with many folks. Our own editor here at American Daily Review John Barnhart and I routinely discuss the possibility, likelihood etc of an actual uprising. Often many folks disregard such speculation or talk. I am telling you it is not only ‘possible’ it

I saw that President Obama did a couple of things regarding the War on Terrorism last week, the most publicized being to
shut down Gitmo. Oh, and I think it is cool that you can see all Executive Orders
here.
Now, I sort of find it interesting that I really think they ought to shut down Gitmo. I have no basis for making that judgment. I have ne…

Was it Carl Marx or Bill Clinton that
said, "It's the Economy Stupid"? Bill said it during the 1992 presidential election process, but what he failed to say was that American presidents don't control economic policy. Not really.
I was thinking about the economy today as I was thinking about Christmas presents this year. Our household has not felt the sting of unemployment – both my husband and I have earned more each year for t…

I don't think I often use the term "must read" but I am going to now. This is a Must Read.
This article by Anthony Gregory radiates with such piercing truth that you may need to squint to be able to read it. But read it we must, and again and again, until our eyes become accustomed to the light and we never have to squint again.

Life isn’t always easy. Some say life is a struggle, a challenge. We often hear the saying “up a creek without a paddle.” Life can be a test, you’re either prepared or unprepared. Who we become as adults is greatly influenced by the way we are raised as children. The abilities and skills to survive and excel in this test of life are forever ingrained in us by our parents and educators. In this fast-paced ever evolving world, the prepared are able to rise to the challenges of life and fortune of…
